This lockout device allows a DIN circuit breaker to be locked in the open (off) position, securing any intervention on the electrical installation.

It's designed to prevent accidental re-energizing during maintenance, repair, or diagnostics.

Once installed, the device holds the breaker in the off position and can be secured with a padlock. It can also be used to keep a faulty circuit switched off, preventing accidental reconnection.

Purpose:

  • securing intervention on an electrical circuit
  • preventing accidental re-energizing of a circuit breaker
  • signaling and keeping a faulty circuit out of service
  • carrying out a Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedure

The device screws around the circuit breaker and is then secured with a padlock.

Safety warning:
Warning: this device must never be used to lock a breaker in the ON position.
Under no circumstances should it be used to force current flow, bypass a protective function, keep a circuit energized, or prevent a breaker from tripping.
Use it only for its intended purpose — securing a de-energized circuit during intervention or in case of a fault.

Before any work on the electrical installation, follow the applicable safety rules: switch off power, verify absence of voltage, lock out, tag out, and have the intervention carried out by a competent person.
